Travel approximately 100 miles northeast of Marrakech into the southern range of the Middle Atlas Mountains to visit these majestic waterfalls of Ouzoud. While most dramatic in spring with utmost greenery and abounding with melting snow from the mountains, this area is also popular with locals in the summer to escape the heat of the Marrakech.

The area offers hikes for all levels – bring sensible and sturdy shoes. Make your way to the top of the falls as you navigate a footpath through fig groves and other trees – keep an eye out for the local macaques. They may just approach you for a sweet treat!

Enjoy local cuisine with a front-row vista of the falls. Many travelers also choose to take an optional small boat ride through the falls, which affords an even closer view.
